Courtney L. Sarofim

Courtney is a longtime Houstonian and committed to community service.  A 1992 graduate of Columbia University in New York City, she worked as a financial analyst at Smith Barney in New York. She returned to Houston in 1993 to attend the University of Houston Law Center and practiced at Fulbright & Jaworski before moving to Landar Holdings, LLP, where she served as vice president for nine years.
She serves on the Board of Trustees and as Chairman of the Development Committee for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. She serves on the Board of Governors for the Lyford Cay International School.  She is also involved with Memorial Park, Texas Children’s Hospital, the Baker Institute, the Neurological Research Institute, and various other local organizations.
She is the wife of Christopher Sarofim, and the daughter of former Houston Mayor Bob and Elyse Lanier. She has three children—Louisa, Fayez, and her stepdaughter Gillian.
